Forum Terms of service

The moderators of this forum will try hard to edit or remove reprehensible messages as soon as possible. However, it is impossible for them to review all the messages. You thus admit that all the messages posted on this forum express the sight and opinion of their respective authors and not those of the moderators or the Webmaster (except messages posted by them) and consequently, they cannot be held responsible of the discussions.

This forum uses cookies to store information on your computer. These cookies will not contain any personal information; they are only used to improve comfort while browsing. The address e-mail is only used in order to confirm the details of your registration as your password (and also to send you back your password if you forget it).

- Aggressive or slanderous messages, as well as personal insults and critics, the coarseness and vulgarities, and more generally any message contravening the French laws are prohibited.
- Messages who promote - or evoke - illegal practices are prohibited.

The aim of this forum is to aid the membership of the brigade to have a form of private communications within the organisation between the membership of all ranks. It is hoped that such open communication would be used to advance the organisation.

Most members are aware that this is not the first forum that has been run within our great organisation. The administration hopes that members acknowledge errors from previous forums and asks that this forum is not abused which will once again see its demise. Every member whether a new member or someone with 50 plus years experience are all entitled to their own views. Please acknowledge other's views.

Membership of Forum
#. This forum is open to both past adult members & current adult members of St. John Ambulance.
*.To assist this, the administrator will have to identify the true identity of a member. This information however will be kept within the knowledge of the administrator and moderators only. Each moderator has confirmed in advance of their acceptance of their role that they will uphold this rule.
#. Members are entiteld to remain anonymous. However members may if they wish identify themselves.
#. While every effort is made to ensure messages on this forum Board are not defamatory, racist or insulting to people, the site owner, administrator, or moderators cannot accept responsibility for any messages, nor can we verify the accuracy or inaccuracy of messages posted by users to this forum.
#.Insulting and abuse of any other member of the forum is not acceptable at any time. Every member of the forum is entitled to his/her opinion even if it is different from your own. Differences of opinion do NOT give you the right to abuse people.
 
Message Requirements.
#. The use of brigade insignia unless authorised should not be used on this site unless the member can confirm to the forum management that they have been authorisated by the commissioner
#. Please do not use a person's name, a company or any legal entity, in such a manner as to identify companies or individuals. As a rule members are posting messages anonymously and without accountability or proof of accuracy. If you want to have a pop at someone, identify yourself, so they have recourse to reply to you personally via e-mail or telephone. Also please remember that each time you use this forum your IP address is recorded and it is possible to use this to trace your location.
#. The user undertakes not to make use of or publish material that is obscene, libellous or defamatory or in violation of any right of any third party.
#. No user shall interfere or attempt to interfere in any way with information belonging to another person. Similarly no user shall make unauthorised copies of information belonging to another person.
#. The user must not undertake any actions that bring this website into disrepute.
#. The forum management retain the right to update the rules as necessary with immediate effect.
 
Administration
#. The Administrator and/or Moderators reserve the right to ban any member from using this forum, at their own discretion without notice. A reason will be forwarded to the user. In the event that this user disputes this they should formulate a response within 7 days from receipt of the e-mail which should be sent to the administrator. This will then be reviewed by the administrator and two other moderators.
#. If a member publishes a comment that it is felt is in breach of any of the rules of the forum, a moderator shall edit the comment immediately. A copy of the unedited comment will be e-mailed to the member, along with what had been edited and the reason. If the member feels this is unfair the member has the right to appeal this decision by way of e-mail to administrator within 7 days of receipt of the e-mail. The administrator and two other moderators will investigate the matter further and respond to the member on completition of their investigaion. This decision will be final. Until any appeal is completed the original posting will remain edited by the original moderator.
#. If any member feels that a comment publised is in breach of any of the rules of the forum, the administrator will remove the relevant comments, and note the orignal posting. An e-mail will be e-mailed to the original member and the reason. If the member feels this is unfair the member has the right to appeal this decision by way of e-mail to administrator within 5 days of receipt of the e-mail. The administrator and two other moderators will investigate the matter further and respond to the member on completition of their investigaion. This decision will be final. Until any appeal is completed the original posting will remain edited by the original moderator.
